Summer is upon us! Soon many long, hot days will be spent on the beach or at the lake. Have you found the perfect swimsuit yet? Here are some tips on finding the perfect suit for every body type!

If you have a large bust, finding a swimsuit that gives you support and looks good can be tough! Don’t look for triangle tops or string bikinis … you won’t get the support you need. Instead, opt for a top with underwire or a hidden bra for added support. Above are some great examples from Lord & Taylor and Bare Necessities.

Or maybe you have the opposite problem and need to embellish a smaller bust. Underwire is actually still a good option! You might think it’s unnecessary, but a bra-like top with underwire can shape and add volume to a small bust. If your tummy is a trouble zone, there’s a ton of great options for you out there. This year the high waisted bottom is all the rage! I love this look and it’s great for flattening the problematic lower stomach area while still allowing you to show some mid-section skin. 1. Clean out your closet and get rid of items that you have not worn in the past year. This includes clothes, shoes and accessories!

Yesterday, the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York opened its doors for the annual Met Gala! For those of you who are unfamiliar, this event is pretty much the Oscars for the Fashion World! Hosted by Vogue, the Met Gala has been bringing together celebrities and fashion powerhouses for over 60 years.

Here’s a look at some of my favorite trends seen at the Met Gala … and where you can find these trends to try for yourself!

First up, plunging V-lines! As seen on celebs such as Lea Michele, Claire Danes, and Diana Agron (pictured above) this trend was definitely a favorite for the A-listers. This trend is great for showing off a petite or toned body. This is also a great look for girls and women with a smaller bust!

The next look I loved on the red carpet was all the bold tangerine! This season’s hottest color was seen last night on Katharine McPhee, Kristen Bell, Eva Mendes, Ginnifer Goodwin and Kristen Wiig. I especially love this look because it is so flattering for women of all skin tones and hair colors. Just look at Eva and Kristen Bell – both are equally beautiful!

Peplum is another look that’s been all over the runways and the red carpet lately! I am IN LOVE with this trend! It is a fun way to add texture and enhance your waistline! Looking for a chic peplum dress? Check out this teal dress from Lulus!

Another daring but totally chic trend? Sheer legs! This is a newer trend on red carpets and A-list events. This look combines classy with sassy to give people a peek at some leg while still covering up with a sheer, floor-length skirt! Elaborate designer nails are a huge trend lately and Celebrity Nail Artist Sophy Robson is leading the way. Robson is the nail expert behind some of London Fashion Week’s biggest shows and she recently launched a totally fabulous new line. The 15-piece collection showcases some of spring/summer 2012’s hottest trends, from tribal designs and prints to colorblocking and more! Robson is the chief nail artist at Hari’s Nails Kings Road in the UK, where she personally trains an entire team of nail artists to create fabulous designs showcasing the latest trends.
