One of my absolute favorite trends for spring 2012 is color-blocking! This look has been all over the runways and is so refreshing! It’s all about getting out of drab winter blacks and greys and stepping into COLOR. Color-blocking is everywhere right now! From clothing to shoes and accessories, there are so many ways to achieve this look. It’s popping up on so many cute dresses, skirts and tops there is no way to stay away from this trend. If you’re afraid you can’t pull off an entire color-block outfit, you can find it on clutches and handbags as well!
Here are some tips on how to get the look:
- Stick to two or three colors to pull this look off; any more can get overwhelming and defeat the entire look.
- This trend can work using all shades of color including brights, bolds and pastels. Neutrals are huge with this look as well and can complement a bright, bold color. This is seen in the clutch above from Francesca’s.
The fab color-block finds shown above are dress from Forever 21, entire color-block outfit by Ann Taylor, yellow and nude clutch from Francesca’s and pink platforms from H&M are available here.
Whatever way you choose, you’re bound to find yourself gravitating toward this haute look for spring!
